Support Worker - Catering & Cleaning

Overview

We are looking for Hospitality Assistants for our residential home at Oaklands Park. As a passionate and experienced Hospitality Assistant, Cleaners and Laundry assistants, you will work as a member of our large hospitality team. You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of catering, cleaning and laundry services.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the catering service to meet residents’ food requirements: food preparation, storage, hygiene, distribution and serving meals.
• Follow written protocols for special dietary requests.
• Assist with the preparation of the dining rooms.
• Work with the food safety plan and legislative guidelines.
• Maintain a high standard of cleaning of residents’ rooms and all general areas.
• Adhere to infection control, manual handling and WHS procedures.
• Maintain efficient and open communication.

What you bring

• Experience in basic food preparation preferred but not essential.
• Experience in micro‑fibre cleaning preferred but not essential.
• Excellent customer service approach, friendly and bubbly personality.
• Effective time‑management skills and experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic understanding of requirements to support residents living with dementia and knowledge of aged‑care standards is highly regarded.
