Liontown is seeking a Supervisor‑Processing to lead the Processing Operations team at Kathleen Valley in Western Australia. The role ensures safe, sustainable, cost‑effective plant operation and serves as the senior on‑shift decision maker for processing activities.
You will train, develop and manage staff, optimise staffing and coordinate with Maintenance, Technical and Metallurgy teams to meet production targets and regulatory requirements.
Liontown Limited (ASX: LTR) is one of Australia’s newest lithium producers. Our Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation in Western Australia is a world‑class, tier‑one asset with a mine life of more than 20 years, and Australia’s first underground lithium mine.
We aim to be an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) leader in the resources sector and a globally significant provider of battery minerals for the clean energy market.
Our Operations division sits at the core of Liontown, extracting valuable resources safely and efficiently and managing our day‑to‑day mining and processing activities. Within this, our Processing Production department keeps the Kathleen Valley plant running to target, shift after shift.
Reporting to the Superintendent‑Production, the Supervisor‑Processing leads and develops the Process Operations team, ensuring the processing plant operates safely, sustainably and cost‑effectively while meeting or exceeding production targets. The role is the senior on‑shift decision maker for the processing operation and holds the statutory supervisor appointment for the processing plant.
You will oversee training and development needs across the team, manage staffing levels to support consistent production, and minimise risk exposure through regulatory compliance. Effective operational planning is central to the role, reducing unplanned stoppages and supporting planned equipment maintenance. You will work closely with Maintenance and Technical personnel to maintain equipment availability and plant performance, and with the Metallurgy team to review plant operating target parameters.
Our purpose is to find and develop the lithium and other mineral deposits required to support the transition to a low-carbon future. The minerals we produce are a critical input to the electric vehicle and energy storage industries driving that transition.
We aim to be a globally significant ESG leader and provider of battery minerals for the clean energy market, and we partner with customers and suppliers who can demonstrate strong ESG credentials. At Kathleen Valley, a significant share of our energy needs is supplied through our partnership with Zenith Energy, via one of the largest off-grid wind-solar-battery hybrid power stations built for a mining project in Australia.
As the world transitions to a low-carbon future, we aim to be part of the solution, not the problem.
Liontown is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.
