Job summary

Liontown is seeking an experienced Superintendent – Warehousing to lead the Kathleen Valley warehousing function, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely distribution to support operations. You will manage a small team, drive safe practices, and optimise warehousing processes while coordinating with site leaders.

The role requires warehousing or logistics leadership, ERP/SAP familiarity, a current forklift licence, and the ability to work on a FIFO remote site roster.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Superintendent – Warehousing to lead the warehousing, materials handling, and inventory control function at Kathleen Valley, ensuring inventory accuracy, efficient storage and timely distribution of materials to support operational continuity. The role leads a team of warehousing personnel, administers warehousing policies and procedures, ensures operational safety, drives improvement of processes, allocates team resources and works closely with the Head of Supply and site operational leaders to align materials availability with production and maintenance schedules.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Accountable for the safety performance of the team, modelling correct behaviours and practices, setting clear expectations, embedding safe systems of work and holding others to account
• Accountable for embedding Liontown's values into team culture, processes, and performance expectations
• Leads a small warehousing team comprising a Supervisor and Warehousing Officers, providing day-to-day direction, coaching and performance management in line with Liontown's people and performance frameworks
• Leads the warehousing team to receive, store, handle and distribute materials, ensuring efficient warehouse operations that support the continuity of Kathleen Valley's site activities
• Manages the relationship with the linehaul provider, including performance and service delivery
• Monitors stock accuracy and inventory levels across the warehouse and for bulk materials, administering inventory control policies and recommending changes to departmental practices where accuracy or availability targets are at risk
• Advises the Head of Supply and operational leaders on materials availability, warehousing capacity and supply risks, and resolves escalated warehousing issues to maintain continuity of site operations
• Monitors warehousing KPIs, including stock accuracy and service levels, identifies and implements performance improvements across process, layout, systems and other operational areas, while monitoring and managing costs for the department
• Ensures warehousing activities, including dangerous goods storage and materials handling, are carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures and applicable legislation, and inspects the work area for hazards prior to and during operations

What We’re Looking For

We’re open on industry background. Warehousing, stores, or logistics experience in any sector is welcome, and mining or heavy industry exposure is a bonus.

• Proven experience in warehousing, inventory management or materials handling
• Relevant experience leading or supervising a team within a warehousing or logistics operation
• Relevant experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory management environment, with the ability to translate this into a broader supply chain context
• Experience operating within a FIFO or remote site environment is highly regarded
• Experience administering inventory or warehouse management systems
• Experience with ERP and inventory management systems such as SAP (S/4HANA exposure advantageous)
• Tertiary qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
• Current high-risk forklift (LF) licence and WA C Class Drivers Licence unrestricted
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical, National Police Clearance, and Drug and Alcohol screen
