Job summary

Liontown Limited is expanding its geology team at Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation and seeks 2 experienced Project Geologists.

The role focuses on planning and executing underground diamond drilling, contributing to grade control and geological modelling, and delivering cross-functional projects within an operating mine.

Qualifications

Following our recent capital raise, we are in a strong position as we transition into full production ramp-up at our flagship Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation. About the Role

We are seeking 2 x Experienced Project Geologists to join our expanding geology team at Kathleen Valley. Reporting to the Senior Geologist, this role is ideal for a motivated geologist looking to take ownership of the planning and execution of underground diamond drilling programs, contribute to the development of grade control and structural models, and deliver cross-functional technical projects within an operating mine environment.

This position will be offered as a full-time, permanent opportunity based at our Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.

Key responsibilities

• Design and prepare drill requests, incorporating peer and cross-functional review.
• Contribute to drill scheduling in conjunction with geology leadership and mine planning.
• Analyse drilling progress to identify the drivers of strong performance and the causes of underperformance, applying data-driven problem solving to support continuous improvement.
• Identify and drive initiatives to improve drilling performance.
• Manage drilling administration, including PLODs and daily compliance tracking.
• Undertake geological and structural core logging, and mentor junior team members to maintain consistent logging standards.
• Validate drilling data for accuracy and completeness to support geological interpretation and modelling.
• Provide database support and champion consistent, reliable data standards, including assay QAQC.
• Undertake and contribute to geological and structural interpretation through wireframing and modelling in collaboration with peers.
• Support geometallurgical test work and integration of results into geological models.
• Drive for continuous improvement and development of standard work processes.

About you

• Tertiary qualification in Geology or Earth Sciences.
• Previous experience in an underground production or project geology role.
• Experience with underground drill design and management, core logging, and QAQC practices.
• Competence in geological software (Datamine StudioGEO) and AcQuire Database software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to mentor junior members of the team.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work autonomously.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screen.
