Job summary

Liontown Resources is seeking an Engineer - Production Underground Mining to join our Kathleen Valley operation in Western Australia. You will contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of the underground plan, develop drill and blast designs, and monitor daily production as part of a high-performing team.

The role requires a Mining Engineering degree and 2–5 years of underground production experience, with backfill knowledge and a readiness for pre-employment checks.

Engineer - Production Underground Mining

Liontown Limited (ASX: LTR) is an ASX listed company with a focus on battery minerals. We aim to be an ESG leader in the resources sector and a globally significant provider of battery minerals for the rapidly growing clean energy market. We will do this by finding, developing and supplying the battery minerals required by the rapidly growing electric vehicle and energy storage industries.

We control two major lithium deposits in Western Australia and have ambition to grow our portfolio through downstream expansion and exploration acquisitions.

Our flagship Kathleen Valley Lithium Project is a Tier 1 hard rock lithium asset, recognised for its scale, grade, and longevity. Now ramping up underground production, Kathleen Valley represents one of the most significant new lithium operations globally and is central to Liontown's long-term growth strategy.

About the role

In this permanent, full-time role based at Kathleen Valley, the Production Engineer is part of Liontown's high-performing production team that's passionate, solutions-focused, and driven by the opportunity to build something new. Reporting to a Senior Production Engineer, you'll support the safe and efficient delivery of our underground mine plan while helping us set the standard for what "great" looks like in underground lithium mining.

About you

• Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent underground operational experience
• 2-5 years in underground production engineering roles
• Backfill experience highly regarded (our paste plant is coming online soon)
• Understanding of Australian mining practices and safety standards
• Confident communicator, collaborator, and problem-solver
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screen
