Job summary

International SOS is seeking an experienced HR leader to build and scale the HR function for a major, complex program in Canberra. You will drive people strategy, workforce planning and compliance across the business, partnering with senior stakeholders to shape organisational design and change initiatives.

You will oversee recruitment, payroll, onboarding and HR administration, ensure governance, and lead talent development and engagement efforts while maintaining strong employee relations and

Qualifications

• 7+ years senior HR experience, including 5+ years in management roles.
• Experience overseeing HR, recruitment and payroll functions.
• Strategic HR, workforce planning, employee relations and organisational change expertise.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS, payroll, recruitment and Microsoft Office systems.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Build and shape the HR function for a major and complex program.
• Drive compliance, governance and continuous improvement in HR.
• Guide the program's people strategy and workforce planning.
• Manage industrial and employee relations, including enterprise agreements.
• Oversee recruitment, credentialing, onboarding, payroll and HR administration.
• Shape organisational design, talent development, engagement and retention initiatives.
• Manage workforce mobilisation, organisational change and contract transitions.
