Job summary

United Rentals on the Gold Coast is seeking a motivated Hire Controller to manage the end-to-end rental process, from enquiry to delivery and off-hire, liaising with customers, drivers and operations to ensure timely supply and exceptional service.

You will build and maintain client relationships, coordinate bookings, prepare quotes and documentation, and contribute to branch operations with a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in hire control or related roles.
• Strong communication and relationship-building.
• Organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Solutions-focused and proactive.
• Experience with ERP or inventory systems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming customer enquiries and rental bookings.
• Coordinate equipment availability, deliveries, and collections.
• Prepare quotes, contracts, and rental documentation.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Accurately process rental transactions and customer records.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts.
• Support branch operations and contribute to team success.
