Job summary

St Vincent de Paul Society (NSW) is seeking a Store Manager for the Lane Cove Vinnies store. You will lead a fast-paced team, motivate staff and volunteers, and drive exceptional shopping experiences while building sales and community impact.

The role focuses on leadership, customer service, operational excellence, and upholding the charity's values. You will manage performance, merchandise standards, and advocate for donors while supporting a diverse, inclusive store environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing retail stores, preferably fashion, and/or high-volume retail.
• Strong leadership skills; with good fashion sense.
• Strong focus on customer experience.
• Proven people management skills or experience in managing people, training and coaching.
• Proven ability to track store sales performance and drive team towards meeting sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Leading, growing and developing a team of paid employees and volunteers
• Ensuring extraordinary customer service is provided to every customer, every time
• Embedding exceptional operational and visual merchandise standards
• Meeting and exceeding sales and KPI performance of the store
• Champion the voice of the donor by upholding the highest standards in product sorting, pricing, and placement
• Building and supporting the volunteer workforce and engaging with the local community
• Role-modelling a 'safety first' culture in store
• Use the company’s mission and values to support decision making, act as a brand advocate inside and outside of the store
