Job summary

Australian Red Cross in Darwin's Malak store is seeking a Casual Shop Assistant to welcome customers, support volunteers, and maintain a warm, inclusive environment. You will help deliver excellent service, assist with donations, and ensure the store is safe and ready for trade each day.

The role suits someone with retail or customer-facing experience, strong communication, and a friendly, team-oriented approach. The position offers flexible weekend work and on-site hours.

In this hands on role, you’ll support the day”‑to‑day running of the store by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and assisting with donations. You’ll work closely with the Shop Manager and lead volunteers to ensure the store is safe, organised, and ready for trade each day.

This role is covered by the General Retail Industry Award 2020, Level 3. Pay from $28.89 / hour + casual loading + superannuation, with access to salary packaging.
