Job summary

Australian Red Cross is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for the Malvern, South Australia location. This casual, in-store role requires flexible availability and weekend work, with the majority of time spent on customer engagement and staff coaching to drive sales and store presentation.

You will support the Store Manager, lead from the floor, and help create a welcoming environment for customers, volunteers, and the local community.

Casual role based in our new Malvern (South Australia) location. Flexible availability required; weekend work essential.

About the role Bring your passion for people, retail, and community impact to one of Australia’s most trusted organisations. As our Assistant Store Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving the success of a Red Cross Store while helping create a warm, inclusive space for customers, volunteers, and the local community. The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all aspects of daily operations and confidently steps into leadership when they’re away. You’ll lead from the floor, spending around 90% of your time engaging with customers, coaching volunteers, and ensuring the store looks exceptional. Your focus: drive sales, deliver outstanding customer service, and build a motivated, high performing volunteer team.

Further information This role is covered by the General Retail Industry Award 2020, Level 4. Pay from $29.45 / hour + casual loading + superannuation, with access to salary packaging.
