Job summary

Australian Red Cross is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Malvern, SA location. This casual role focuses on leading by example on the shop floor, coaching volunteers, and delivering standout customer service while driving sales and maintaining an immaculate store presentation.

You will spend most of your time engaging with customers, mentoring volunteers, and ensuring the store is welcoming and well merchandised. Weekend shifts and flexible availability are essential for this role.

About the role

As our Assistant Store Manager, you'll play a key role in driving the success of a Red Cross Store while helping create a warm, inclusive space for customers, volunteers, and the local community.

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all aspects of daily operations and confidently steps into leadership when they're away. You'll lead from the floor, spending around 90% of your time engaging with customers, coaching volunteers, and ensuring the store looks exceptional. Your focus: drive sales, deliver outstanding customer service, and build a motivated, high performing volunteer team.

Further information

This role is covered by the General Retail Industry Award 2020, Level 4. Pay from $29.45 / hour + casual loading + superannuation, with access to salary packaging.
