Job summary

Canva is seeking a senior lead for Mobile Platform to shape and own the testing tooling, automation framework, and quality strategy across iOS and Android. You will drive alignment across multiple teams, install CI/CD quality gates, and codify best practices that scale with Canva's growing mobile platform workforce.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in at least one mobile platform iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) with working knowledge of the other and cross‑platform experience.
• Hands-on experience with a cross‑platform mobile framework used at scale.
• Experience building or shaping a mobile test automation framework with adoption by other teams.
• Background in defining quality gating or CI/CD improvements for mobile build systems.
• Track record of delivering cross‑team technical projects at scale.
• Ability to drive technical direction without direct authority through credibility and clear communication.
• Technical docs and practices that serve as a reference for others.
• Ability to balance a 12‑month horizon with current sprint planning.

Responsibilities

• Own mobile development tooling: architecture and roadmap for simulator/emulator setup, device orchestration, and CLI tools across iOS and Android.
• Lead the test automation framework for synthetic and integration testing across platforms.
• Set the CI/CD quality gating strategy and surface quality issues early.
• Drive alignment across Native Infra, Cross Platform, and DevX to unify mobile workflows.
• Codify standards: publish mobile testing practices and documentation for Canva-wide use.
• Build shared quality signals and triage workflows for mobile development and testing.
• Mentor and grow the mobile teams and assist in hiring.
