Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Mechanical Product Engineer (Platform) to serve as the primary design engineering presence on the production floor, bridging design intent and production execution. The role requires deep technical judgement, autonomy, and the credibility to influence both design engineers and production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production.
• Mechanical design and analysis capability (hand calcs, tolerance analysis, FEA).
• Hands-on production floor experience and MRB knowledge.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems and production processes.
• Ability to interpret GD&T drawings and communicate design intent.
• Experience with multi-site manufacturing or production transfers.
• Knowledge of configuration management, ECO processes, and PLM tools.
• Ability to obtain Australian government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary design engineering point of contact on the production floor for assigned programs and product lines.
• Represent the design authority at MRB, working with Quality and Manufacturing to minimise production hold time without compromising safety.
• Resolve production blockers, design ambiguities, and drawing interpretation issues in real time with engineering judgement.
• Provide rapid-response engineering support and RCA to Production, Quality, and Test teams for nonconformance resolution and repair dispositions.
• Identify patterns across nonconformances and lead RCA to implement design improvements.
