Job summary

Anduril is seeking a Staff Mechanical Product Engineer (Platform) to serve as the primary design engineering presence on the production floor, bridging design intent and production execution across multiple sites. The role demands deep technical judgment and autonomous work on complex programs to resolve nonconformances and MRB actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in manufacturing with at least 4 years in defense, aerospace or automotive.
• Strong MRB, nonconformance management, and engineering disposition experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary design engineering point of contact on the production floor for assigned programs and product lines.
• Represent the design authority at MRB, working with Quality and Manufacturing to minimize production hold time while maintaining safety and integrity.
• Resolve production blockers, design ambiguities, and drawing interpretation issues in real time using engineering judgement.
• Provide rapid-response RCA support to Production, Quality, and Test teams for nonconformance resolution and repair dispositions.
• Identify and elevate systemic design issues to core Design Engineering teams with data and corrective actions.
