Job summary

Glencore's McArthur River Mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria seeks a site-based Training Officer to facilitate and administer the Mining Department Training plan. You will deliver the induction and ongoing training for Production personnel and ensure compliance with the Training Needs Analysis targets.

The role requires Cert IV Training & Assessment (TAE40122 preferred), a valid Australian driver’s licence, and 5+ years in a similar training role, with experience operating CAT rigid haul trucks.

Qualifications

• Cert IV Training & Assessment (TAE40122 preferred).
• Valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar training role.
• Experience operating CAT Rigid Haul Trucks (RIIMPO338E preferred).
• Experience training with Mining equipment simulators.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Mining Dept. induction and orientation program for new Mining Production personnel.
• Promote and deliver training activities to meet site Training Needs Analysis targets.
• Develop, review and implement training and assessment material.
• Undertake training administration duties and maintain documentation.
• Facilitate forecast meetings and report adherence to the weekly training plan.
• Provide timely feedback on learner progression and support training pathways.
• Adherence to all training and operational procedures.
