Job summary

Anglo American is seeking a Training Coordinator for Capcoal Mine, Middlemount, QLD. The role focuses on developing, scheduling, and delivering training while ensuring compliance with corporate and statutory requirements.

You will validate training compliance for Coal Mine workers, maintain site inductions, and coach staff to ensure competency. The role offers 9-day fortnights, FIFO options, and a generous salary/bonus package.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment required or equivalent.
• Operational coal mining experience preferred.
• Experience with LMS and MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint).
• Experience driving departmental strategy and budget.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage high-volume training during major works.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Validate training and assessment compliance for all Capcoal workers.
• Maintain site induction compliance and deliver inductions to employees and contractors.
• Coach/mentor staff to develop skills aligned with work requirements.
• Enforce Coal Mine Training and Competence Scheme requirements.
• Review training performance for continuous improvement.
• Ensure LMS governance is applied consistently across the mine.
• Engage with stakeholders to support business plan delivery.
• Demonstrate safety leadership and promote safety culture.
