Job summary

Australian Mentoring Services (AMS) is seeking a Team Leader for Supported Independent Living in Blacktown, NSW. This permanent part-time role requires a shift-based roster with Saturday availability, and is open to male applicants only due to participant needs.

You will lead a team of Mentors across SIL homes in Western Sydney, ensuring person-centred support and high-quality care. Reporting to the Practice Leader, you will coordinate daily operations, oversee behaviour support and medication

Qualifications

• Experience working in disability support or a similar sector.
• Understanding of psychosocial disability and trauma-informed care.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support your team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.
• Coordinate daily operations and ensure support plans, including behaviour support, mealtime management and medication procedures, are followed.
• Encourage participant independence, choice and goal achievement.
• Liaise with families, stakeholders and external services to promote holistic support.
• Promote a safe, clean and inclusive environment in line with WHS requirements.
• Support staff development, performance and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement and uphold AMS values in every interaction.
