Job summary

Unisson Disability in Western Sydney is seeking a Team Leader to oversee Supported Independent Living (SIL) services. You will lead a team of dedicated direct support professionals, ensuring high quality person-centred care that empowers clients to thrive every day.

You will manage day-to-day SIL site operations, ensure homes are safe and compliant, develop and review individual support plans, support NDIS planning, coach staff, and coordinate rosters and recruitment with HR.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in disability (2–3 years) required.
• Strong coaching and communication skills.
• Organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Desirable NSW Driver's Licence (P2/full).

Responsibilities

Job description

Key responsibilities

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of SIL sites
• Ensuring homes are safe, welcoming, and compliant
• Leading the development and review of person-centred support plans
• Ensuring documentation is accurate and aligned with policy and system requirements
• Supporting clients during NDIS planning and review meetings
• Participating in behaviour support planning and restrictive practices where required
• Coaching and mentoring staff to enhance performance and engagement
• Coordinating rosters, leave and recruitment with HR and Scheduling teams

About you

• 2-3 years leadership experience in the disability sector
• Willingness to participate in flexible working hours including on call, evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Energetic, compassionate, and emotionally resilient
• Excellent organisational, communication and coaching skills
• Hold a valid NSW Driver's Licence (P2/full) and are confident driving Unisson vehicles
• Qualified with Cert III/IV in Disability (desirable)
