Job summary

HCLTech Australia is seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITOM Technical Consultant to deliver enterprise-grade ServiceNow solutions with a focus on Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB.

Mandatory certifications include Active ServiceNow CSA and two CIS Certifications, with CIS Discovery and CIS Event Management highly preferred, plus a minimum of 4+ years in ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow Service Mapping solutions
• Identify and map business-critical services and application dependencies
• Integrate Discovery and Service Mapping with CMDB
• Create and customize patterns, probes, and sensors
• Troubleshoot and resolve Service Mapping and Discovery issues
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and platform teams
• Ensure service data supports Incident, Change, Problem, and Event Management processes
• Drive ITOM best practices, CMDB Health initiatives, and CSDM alignment
• Engage confidently with technical and business stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow Service Mapping solutions
• Identify and map business-critical services and application dependencies
• Integrate Discovery and Service Mapping with CMDB

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, MID Servers, and integrations
• Experience with Service Mapping architecture and implementation
• Knowledge of CSDM and service taxonomy
• Knowledge of HTTP, SNMP, SSH, and WMI protocols
• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or SolarWinds
• Exposure to Event Management, AIOps, Cloud Management, Agile, and DevOps environments
