Job summary

Australian Electoral Commission is seeking a ServiceNow Software Engineer (Developer) to deliver hands-on development across ITSM, HRSD and CSM on the ServiceNow platform. The role requires active security clearance and hybrid work in Canberra, with potential national/remote options as required.

You will work in an agile delivery team, handling requirements refinement, design, build, testing, deployment and post-implementation support, while ensuring secure, scalable solutions and high quality

Qualifications

• Current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
• Demonstrated experience delivering configuration and custom development in enterprise ServiceNow environments.
• Experience across the full ServiceNow development lifecycle from requirements to post-implementation support.
• Strong skills in JavaScript, Flow Designer, UI Builder, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts and UI Policies.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with REST APIs and web services.

Responsibilities

• Perform coding (JavaScript) and configuration (Flow Designer, UI Builder, Business Rules) on the ServiceNow platform.
• Collaborate with analysts and designers to translate requirements into working solutions.
• Enhance existing ServiceNow applications and modules.
• Work within an agile team and participate in ceremonies.
• Document technical designs, specifications and knowledge transfer materials.
• Develop best practices for ServiceNow development with IT and business teams.
• Keep up-to-date with ServiceNow features and incorporate them into development.
• Suggest improvements for process and system enhancements.
