Job summary

The Australian Electoral Commission seeks a ServiceNow Software Engineer (Developer) to deliver hands-on development and configuration across ITSM, HRSD and CSM on the ServiceNow platform. You will work in an agile team, collaborating with analysts and architects to deliver secure, scalable solutions in a government environment.

Applicants must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 clearance and work in Canberra with hybrid arrangements.

Qualifications

• Current ServiceNow CSA certification.
• Hands-on ServiceNow developer delivering configuration and custom development in enterprise environments.
• Experience across full ServiceNow development lifecycle: requirements, design, build, test, deployment, support.
• Strong scripting and development: JavaScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST APIs, web services and authentication mechanisms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with effective communication and ability to work autonomously in a governed environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform coding (JavaScript) and configuration on the ServiceNow platform.
• Collaborate with analysts and designers to translate requirements into final solutions.
• Enhance existing ServiceNow applications and modules.
• Work within agile delivery and participate in ceremonies.
• Document technical designs, specifications, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Develop best practices for ServiceNow development with IT and business teams.
