One of our leading federal govt clients is seeking to engage Senior ServiceNow Software Developer for Canberra/Adelaide (Hybrid working).
Please note candidate must have NV1 Security clearance.
Extension term: 12 months

Key duties and responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and customise the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritise business requirements.
- Assess platform requirements from business areas; explore/research/test ServiceNow out‑of‑the‑box capability to exhaust ServiceNow existing application options before progressing with custom builds.
- Conduct code reviews and perform quality control checks as part of every project to guarantee maximum efficiency and productivity.
- Develop scoped applications, flows, scripts and other UI elements in relation to custom solutions and out‑of‑the‑box enhancements in the ServiceNow platform.
- Provide guidance and expertise in relation to platform growth and development, in close collaboration with the ServiceNow technical lead and development team.
- Conduct ServiceNow solution demonstrations and/or presentations for agency business teams and other key stakeholders.
- Debug and fix technical problems.
- Produce and run test cases to guarantee software quality.
- Document code and application functionality (i.e. drafting Functional Design Specification documentation).
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in ServiceNow development to ensure project success.
- Conduct knowledge transfer on administration and development within the Service Now platform within the team.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in ServiceNow development
- Minimum ServiceNow CSA (Certified Systems Administrator) essential
- Proficiency with ServiceNow development, such as scripting, workflows, and integrations
- Proficiency and demonstrated experience with ServiceNow out‑of‑the‑box application configuration
- Proven problem‑solving and analytical abilities, including the ability to develop innovative solutions and form sound judgments
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders both verbally and in writing, and a proven capability to work independently as well as collaboratively
Desirable
- ServiceNow CIS (Certified Implementation Specialist) or greater
- Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall
- Familiarity and/or training with IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) processes
- Familiarity, experience and/or training with ServiceNow Procurement related applications and/or development of Procurement workflow
