Job summary

Data Knowhow seeks a ServiceNow Software Engineer (Developer) in Canberra to deliver high-quality hands-on development across the ServiceNow platform. You will design, build, enhance and support ITSM/HRSD/CSM products within an agile team in a government environment.

The role requires strong configuration and custom development experience, collaboration with stakeholders, and the ability to work with security and governance controls. Hybrid work arrangements in ACT apply.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer delivering configuration and custom development in enterprise environments.
• Experience across full ServiceNow lifecycle from requirements to post-implementation support.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems via REST APIs and authentication mechanisms.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously in governance-rich, security-focused settings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with analysts and designers to translate requirements into working ServiceNow solutions.
• Enhance existing ServiceNow applications and modules.
• Work within agile ceremonies and principles.
• Document designs, specifications and transfer knowledge.
• Develop best practices for ServiceNow development with IT and business teams.
• Stay current with new ServiceNow features and incorporate them into development.
• Contribute to platform improvements and process enhancements.
• Explain travel requirements when applicable.
