Job summary

4K Automotive Group Pty, including Phil Gilbert Motor Group, is seeking a Service Advisor to deliver exceptional service from booking through to vehicle handover. You will manage enquiries, schedule daily appointments, and work with the Workshop Controller to ensure timely, accurate estimates and clear communication with customers.

The role suits both experienced advisors and those starting their automotive service career.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Advisor or in automotive service costing.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Current NSW driver’s licence.
• Passion for customer service and the auto industry.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for customers from booking to vehicle collection.
• Manage customer enquiries, service bookings and daily appointments.
• Liaise with Workshop Controller to ensure timely completion and approved costs.
• Prepare accurate service estimates and explain recommended work and costs.
• Keep customers informed about timing and changes during the repair process.
• Coordinate future bookings to maximise workshop efficiency and satisfaction.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Explain work completed and charges on delivery of vehicles.
• Complete dealership administrative tasks per procedures and warranty requirements.

About the Role

• Be the first point of contact for customers, delivering exceptional service from booking through to vehicle collection.
• Manage customer enquiries, service bookings, and daily appointments.
• Liaise with the Workshop Controller to ensure vehicles are completed on time and customer expectations are met.
• Prepare accurate service estimates and explain recommended work and associated costs.
• Keep customers informed throughout the repair process, including any changes to timing or costs.
• Coordinate future bookings to maximise workshop efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Deliver vehicles back to customers, clearly explaining the work completed and any associated charges.
• Complete all administrative tasks in line with dealership procedures and manufacturer warranty requirements.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 7:30am - 5:00pm

Who Are You?

We welcome both experienced Service Advisors and those keen to start their career in automotive service. Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor, in automotive service costing, or transferable customer service skills (retail/hospitality/admin)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• High attention to detail and a process-driven mindset
• Current NSW driver’s licence
• A genuine passion for customer service and the auto industry
