Job summary

Evolution Mining’s Cowal Gold Operations is seeking a Senior Training Advisor to lead training, competency and workforce development across the site. This role drives the evolution of training frameworks, ensures compliance and develops leaders to support a culture of continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Superintendent—Safety & Health, you will shape training systems, mentor Advisors and Assessors, and collaborate with leaders to uplift capability and engagement while supporting a 5:2/4:3

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a training-related discipline.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in training, learning and development or workforce capability roles.
• Experience within mining, resources or heavy industry environments.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor, coach and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong knowledge of training compliance, competency based frameworks and relevant legislation.
• Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes across all levels of an organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the Cowal Mine Training Scheme and learning systems to support operational excellence.
• Drive workforce capability through training needs analysis, competency development and strategic training initiatives.
• Ensure training compliance aligns with legislative requirements, site expectations and safety management systems.
• Mentor and develop a team of Training Advisors and Trainer Assessors to enhance capability and performance.
• Influence leaders across the business to strengthen workforce competency, engagement and continuous improvement outcomes.
