Job summary

Evolution Mining’s Cowal Gold Operations is seeking a Senior Safety Advisor to lead safety culture, embed practices, and influence leaders to keep everyone safe daily. Based at Cowal, you’ll mentor teams, lead investigations, and drive improvements across the Safety & Health Management System.

You will collaborate with operations and contractors, champion proactive safety, and support change initiatives to enhance both safety and business performance at this site.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or related discipline required.
• Proven safety leadership experience within mining or heavy industry.
• Strong capability in incident investigations, including ICAM methodology.
• Experience with risk management processes (JSA, WRAC, SOPs, SWIs).
• Ability to influence, coach and mentor stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership that strengthens safety performance across site.
• Coach and mentor leaders, supervisors and Safety Representatives to build capability.
• Lead incident investigations and drive meaningful corrective actions.
• Influence risk management practices that prevent incidents before they occur.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Safety & Health Management System.
• Partner with operational teams and contractors to achieve sustainable safety outcomes.
• Champion a proactive safety culture through visible field leadership and engagement.
• Support change initiatives that improve operational safety and business performance.
