Job summary

Spinifex Recruiting is seeking an experienced Mining Training and Competency Lead for a multi-skill site in New South Wales. You will lead and support the site’s training and competency systems, ensuring employees are trained, assessed and compliant with site and legislative requirements.

The role oversees Training Advisors, Trainer/Assessors and Training Governance, while supporting training systems, budgets and continuous improvement, and modelling Evolution Mining values.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supervising a training team.
• Strong experience in mining training and competency systems.
• Strong administration, record-keeping and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and work to business requirements.
• Demonstrated commitment to Evolution Mining values.

Key requirements

• Strong experience in mining training and competency systems
• Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
• Experience with INX or similar training management systems
• Strong understanding of training compliance, competency verification and nationally recognised training
• Experience leading or supervising a training team
• Ability to develop and implement site training programs
• Good understanding of mining operations and workplace safety
• Strong administration, record-keeping and reporting skills
• Ability to manage budgets and work to business requirements
