Job summary

seek.com.au, a Sydney-based building company, seeks an experienced full-time Site Engineer to join our team with responsibilities spanning contract administration and progress reporting. This role offers potential to lead to a Project Management position in the future.

You will manage subcontract tenders, administer subcontracts, ensure compliance with the National Construction Code, and read drawings. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Australia, a related degree, and proficiency with Procore,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role within Australia.
• Specific experience in residential building construction projects is required.
• Preferably degree qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in Procore, MS Word, MS Project, Excel, MS Access and Outlook.
• Familiar with National Construction Code, Australian Standards and WHSE legislation.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and scope of work.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Australian work authorisation is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Head Contract including progress claims, variations and correspondence
• Manage subcontract tender processes, including evaluation, negotiation and risk assessment
• Administer subcontracts including payment claims, invoices, variations and correspondence
• Maintain contract documentation and ensure compliance
• Month end reporting and forecasting
• Liaise effectively with all subcontractors, designers and suppliers to maintain professional and reliable working relationships
• Manage I.T.P and Quality Control
• Monitor and update program as required
