Job summary

REA Group is seeking a Senior Product Manager (Data Mesh Enablement) to lead discovery and strategic initiatives that advance data-as-a-product thinking across the federated model. You will partner with the Head of Data, Engineering Manager and squads to translate priorities into actionable programs.

You will define and roll out discovery approaches, build roadmaps, and work with data domain owners, data product owners and delivery teams to realise business value and adoption across REA.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of product management experience with complex products, platforms or strategic initiatives.
• Strong understanding of data-as-a-product thinking: clear use cases, ownership, discoverability and measurable value.
• Fluency working with data engineers, software engineers, data management, analytics or tech teams to shape pragmatic outcomes.
• Proven ability to lead discovery in complex environments, frame problems, run workshops and translate needs into opportunities.
• Strategic thinking with execution discipline to connect insights to prioritised delivery and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and define data products that are valuable, trustworthy and reusable across the enterprise.
• Manage a portfolio of data product use cases aligned to strategic outcomes and business value.
• Define data governance, data domain ownership and lifecycle management within a federated model.
• Roll out consistent discovery approaches, templates and playbooks to accelerate adoption.
• Develop a long-term, outcome-driven roadmap for the Data Mesh Enablement squad.
• Partner with Data Management, Data Business Partners and delivery teams to enable rollout of new practices.
• Establish engagement forums, alignment across stakeholders and clear communication of complex data concepts.
