Job summary

REA Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Mesh Enablement Squad in Melbourne. You will coach teams to adopt data-as-a-product thinking, embed ownership and governance, and help scale trusted, AI-ready data products across domains.

You will partner with Data Domain Owners and Product Owners to translate governance and security requirements into practical guidance while uplifting data operating practices and health across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience as a data engineer working with modern data platforms, pipelines, models and data quality practices.
• Experience with data-as-a-product concepts including ownership, lifecycle management, data health and governance.

Responsibilities

• Coach Data Product Owners and teams in data-as-a-product thinking and lifecycle management.
• Partner with Data Domain Owners and Data Product Owners to embed ownership and governance guidance.
• Embed enterprise data standards, guardrails and governance practices across data domains.
