REA Group is seeking a Senior Product Manager (Data Mesh Enablement) to drive data-as-a-product thinking across the federated data operating model. You will partner with data domain owners, data product owners and Data Business Partners to shape value from data products.

Based in Melbourne or Sydney, this hands-on role sits in Launchpad within REA’s Global Technology group, leading discovery, roadmaps and pragmatic initiatives that unlock scalable data capabilities for customers and staff alike.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience in product management or development.
• Strong understanding of data-as-a-product thinking (use cases, ownership, lifecycle).
• Experience with data engineers, software engineers and analytics/tech teams.
• Proven ability to lead discovery in complex environments and translate needs into outcomes.
• Ability to connect market and stakeholder insights to strategy, prioritisation and delivery.
• Experience using evidence and measures to prioritise opportunities and demonstrate value.
• Excellent communication, storytelling and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.
• Track record of adoption of new products, practices or ways of working.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive pragmatic, sustainable solutions.

Responsabilités

• Lead discovery and define initiatives for data-as-a-product adoption.
• Develop long-term, outcome-driven roadmaps for the Data Mesh Enablement squad.
• Collaborate with Head of Data, engineering managers and squads to shape roadmaps.
• Create templates, playbooks and methodologies to scale data product discovery.
• Engage with data domains, Data Management and Delivery teams to enable rollout.
