Job summary

Troocoo Pty in Brisbane is partnering with a not-for-profit organisation to recruit a Senior Payroll Officer based in Murarrie. You will lead end-to-end payroll, governance and reporting across a complex workforce, reporting to the Financial Controller.

You will manage fortnightly payroll, interpret awards and employment conditions, and support process improvements, automation, and payroll advisory services while upholding accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of end-to-end payroll experience.
• Experience with a medium to large workforce (500+ employees ideal).
• Strong interpretation of awards and enterprise agreements.
• Solid knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation and STP.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ELMO or PayRTA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end fortnightly payroll processing.
• Interpret awards, enterprise agreements and employment conditions.
• Manage payroll reconciliations, superannuation and salary packaging.
• Maintain payroll controls, compliance and audit requirements.
• Provide technical payroll advice to employees and managers.
• Support payroll process improvement and automation.
