Job summary

Icon Oncology Group is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our National Head Office team in Brisbane on a permanent full-time basis. You will manage end-to-end fortnightly payroll for a diverse Australia and New Zealand workforce across Cancer Care, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical, Core Services and Research.

You will apply Awards and Enterprise Agreement knowledge to ensure compliant payroll outcomes, handle escalations, and collaborate with People & Capability to deliver accurate payments

Qualifications

• Proven experience processing end-to-end payroll with strict deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to interpret Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and payroll legislation.
• Experience investigating payroll queries and discrepancies.
• Excellent communication with employees, managers and stakeholders on payroll matters.
• Practical experience using payroll/workforce systems such as iChris/Chris21 (preferred) or similar.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end fortnightly payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
• Maintain employee payroll records and process lifecycle transactions.
• Interpret Awards, Enterprise Agreements, payroll legislation, and company policies for compliant outcomes.
• Review and reconcile payroll data, investigate discrepancies and resolve queries.
• Provide payroll support and advice to employees, managers, and stakeholders on pay, leave, taxation and superannuation.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and system utilisation.
