Troocoo Pty in Brisbane is partnering with a not-for-profit organisation to recruit a Senior Payroll Officer based in Murarrie. You will lead end-to-end payroll, governance and reporting across a complex workforce, reporting to the Financial Controller.

You will manage fortnightly payroll, interpret awards and employment conditions, and support process improvements, automation, and payroll advisory services while upholding accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of end-to-end payroll experience.
• Experience with a medium to large workforce (500+ employees ideal).
• Strong interpretation of awards and enterprise agreements.
• Solid knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation and STP.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ELMO or PayRTA preferred.

About the Role

Troocoo is partnering with a well established not for profit organisation to recruit a Senior Payroll Officer based in Murarrie. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will manage end to end payroll processing, with a focus on payroll governance, compliance, reporting and continuous improvement across a complex workforce.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a key role in maintaining payroll accuracy and integrity, while providing advice across employee entitlements, reporting and payroll related matters.

• Manage end to end fortnightly payroll processing
• Interpret awards, enterprise agreements and employment conditions
• Manage payroll reconciliations, superannuation and salary packaging
• Maintain payroll controls, compliance and audit requirements
• Provide technical payroll advice to employees and managers
• Support payroll process improvement and automation

About You

You will be confident working autonomously, managing competing deadlines and resolving complex payroll matters, with a strong eye for detail and a continuous improvement mindset.

• Minimum five years of end to end payroll experience
• Experience within a medium to large or complex workforce, ideally 500+ employees
• Strong award and enterprise agreement interpretation experience
• Sound knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and STP
• Advanced Excel skills
• ELMO, PayRTA or similar payroll system experience highly regarded
