Job summary

Anduril Australia is developing unmanned systems for subsurface and other domains, leveraging unsupervised autonomy to deliver long-endurance, multi-mission capability. Mechanical Engineers will rapidly develop expertise to architect, design, deliver and evolve next-generation capabilities across the entire product life-cycle.

You will contribute to the XL-AUV program, create detailed designs and prototypes, perform simulations and analyses, ensure compliance with maritime standards, and mentor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience as Mechanical Engineer on complex systems.
• Ability to own technical components and coordinate teams.
• Eligibility to obtain Australian Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed plans and specs for XL-AUV designs.
• Develop mechanical designs, prototypes, and build complex structures.
• Perform simulations and modal/spectral analyses.
• Ensure designs meet maritime standards.
• Inspect parts and assemblies to meet specs.
• Travel up to 20% to co-locate with end-users or teams.
• Mentor junior engineers.
