Job summary

Anduril Australia is seeking Mechanical Engineers to design and deliver unmanned systems for subsurface domains, including the XL-AUV program. You will own mechanical design from concept to deployment, performing simulations, analyses, and validation while ensuring compliance with maritime standards.

The role requires collaboration across engineering teams, mentoring junior engineers, and travel up to 20% to co-locate with end-users and partners. An Australian Security Clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience working on complex mechanical systems across design, implementation, operation and sustainment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed plans and specifications for new designs or derivatives of XL-AUVs.
• Develop mechanical designs, prototypes and build of complex structures and mechanisms.
• Perform simulation and analysis of mechanical designs including modal/spectral response analysis.
• Ensure designs meet maritime standards and regulations.
• Partner with stakeholders and multiple disciplines to deliver reusable components across product lines.
