Job summary

Anduril Industries Australia is seeking Mechanical Engineers to drive the design and delivery of advanced undersea vehicles and related mechanical systems. You will create plans, develop prototypes, and perform analyses across design, testing and sustainment.

The role requires holistic systems thinking, ownership of complex components, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Occasional travel and security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical/aerospace/naval architecture or equivalent.
• Professional mechanical engineering experience across design, implementation, and sustainment.
• Ability to own complex structural components and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Australian Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed plans and specifications for XL-AUV designs.
• Develop mechanical designs, prototypes, and builds of complex structures.
• Perform modal and spectral analysis and ensure compliance with maritime standards.
• Act as technical owner for complex components, coordinating requirements and evolution.
• Lead cross-disciplinary work and mentor junior engineers.
• Travel up to 20% to co-locate with end-users or partners.
