Job summary

Anduril Australia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to drive the design, development and support of complex unmanned systems. You will work across design, analysis, testing and sustainment, ensuring compliance with maritime standards.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in mechanical engineering and experience across relevant domains, with a willingness to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance and to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Naval Architecture, or equivalent.
• Experience as Mechanical Engineer across domains or technologies.
• Ability to work holistically on complex mechanical systems from design to sustainment.
• Ability to be technical owner for complex structural components and assemblies, including stakeholder engagement and roadmap management.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed plans and specifications for new designs or derivatives of XL-AUVs.
• Design, prototype and build complex mechanical structures and mechanisms.
• Perform simulations and analyses including modal/spectral analysis.
• Ensure designs meet maritime standards and regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Travel up to 20% to co-locate with end-users or vendors.
