Job summary

Fairfield City Council is seeking a Senior Library Assistant (Temporary Full-time) to provide efficient library and information services across five libraries: Whitlam Library Cabramatta, Fairfield Library, Bonnyrigg Library, Wetherill Park and Smithfield Community Library. The role requires strong communication, administration skills and the ability to work evenings and weekends.

A Certificate III in Library and Information Services is required; salary ranges from $71,173 to $83,373 per year

Qualifications

• Provide efficient library and information service to meet community needs across 5 libraries.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Assist with customer service duties to create positive experiences.
• Apply initiative, be a team player and solve day-to-day issues.
• Maintain information and library management systems.
• Be available to work evenings and weekends.
• Hold a Certificate III in Library and Information Services or equivalent.
