Job summary

Sutherland Shire Council is seeking enthusiastic Library Assistants to join our team and create welcoming experiences for library customers across our network.

You will assist with loans, access technology, support children's activities and help people discover resources that connect them with our services. A passion for community engagement and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Working with Children Check required.
• Studying towards, willing to undertake, or completed a Library and Information Services qualification (or equivalent).

Essential Requirements

• Working With Children Check
• Studying towards, willing to undertake, or completed a Library and Information Services qualification (or equivalent)

Desirable

• Previous public library experience
• Current Driver's Licence

• Package: $63,976 - $67,812 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
• Hours of work: Permanent part-time opportunities are available. Applicants must be available to work a range of shifts across a 7-day roster between 8:00am and 9:00pm to support the operational needs of our libraries. Weekend penalty rates are paid in accordance with Council's Enterprise Agreement.
