Department of Customer Service is seeking a Manager, Protective Security Unit for the NSW Telco Authority with a Grade 11/12 level. The role is hybrid, with 2 days a week in-office across Sydney, Parramatta, Gosford or Tweed Heads, and travel to the Sydney office.

The base salary starts at $154,231 plus superannuation, with occasional outside-hours expectations and a required NV1 clearance. The successful candidate will lead protective security governance, risk management and incident response,

Qualifications

• Must be an Australian citizen and have, or be able to attain and maintain, an NV1 national security clearance as a condition of employment.
• May be required to work outside normal working hours.
• Experience in protective security in government, critical infrastructure, security, law enforcement or other regulated environments.
• Strong expertise in protective security including governance, compliance, risk management and assurance.
• Experience interpreting security legislation, standards, policies and frameworks.

Responsabilités

• Lead development and implementation of NSWTA's protective security framework, policies and controls.
• Provide specialist security advice to executives and stakeholders on risks and compliance.
• Oversee security governance, risk management and reporting across the organisation.
• Lead management of security incidents, investigations and corrective actions.
• Build relationships with government agencies and security partners to strengthen outcomes.
• Drive security awareness and adoption of best-practice protective measures.
• Monitor emerging security risks and regulatory changes to inform strategy.
