Job summary

Westpac Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Protective Security to lead the ongoing development of the physical security risk management framework and protect our people, customers, assets and operations. The role oversees risk assessments, incident responses, policy development, supplier management and major events in a hybrid Sydney-based setting.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in law enforcement, defence, government security, intelligence, or corporate security environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading physical security risk management, incident response, and security governance activities.
• Strong leadership capability with experience managing teams, stakeholders, and complex security issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present security assessments and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ongoing development of Westpac’s physical security risk management framework.
• Oversee security risk assessments across corporate sites, branches, ATMs, data centres and major events.
• Manage security incident responses and governance activities, including insider threat management.
• Provide advice on emerging threats and risk mitigation strategies, and engage with security partners and law enforcement.
• Lead policy development, supplier management, and major events support including executive protection and crisis response.
