Job summary

PLAYER ELITE in Sydney seeks a Senior Field Engineer to lead on-site installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of self-service kiosks. You will install hardware, configure software, and ensure secure, reliable ICT support at customer sites.

The role requires 3+ years in field service, Windows/Linux know-how, networking basics and strong communication. You’ll work independently in the field, document deployments, manage peripherals, and uphold security standards.

Qualifications

3+ years in field service support engineering or related role.
Hands-on kiosk hardware or embedded systems experience.
Proficiency in Windows and Linux OS installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
Experience with custom software deployment and maintenance.
Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi‑Fi).
Familiarity with USB device management and hardware inventory.

Responsibilities

Perform full kiosk hardware installations, including mounting and cable management.
Install, configure and troubleshoot LED lighting and secure hardware infrastructures.
Document USB peripheral inventories and ensure compliance with device lists.
Diagnose, replace and repair hardware components such as touchscreens and printers.
Perform OS installations and re-imaging across Windows and Linux kiosk platforms.
Deploy and maintain custom kiosk software and management agents.
Execute software version control and patch management per release schedules.
Troubleshoot software faults, crashes and OS-level issues in the field.
Verify kiosk security configurations, including firewall rules and endpoint protection.
Configure wired and wireless network connections for kiosk systems.
