Hervey Bay RSL Club is seeking a proactive Functions Coordinator to lead function setups, oversee event logistics and support busy restaurant service. You will ensure professional guest interactions, manage rosters and assist with payments while maintaining RSA and Food Safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate functions at Hervey Bay RSL Club in a busy functioning environment.
• Assist in the restaurant when required.
• Organise function setups and liaise with Graphic Artist team for floor plans.
• Arrange function rosters and oversee rostering with Restaurant Manager.
• Ensure accurate payments and cash handling for functions.
• Lead and mentor functions team to deliver high service standards.
• Maintain compliance with RSA and Food Safety requirements.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences and handle patrons professionally.

We areseeking a person with an out going personality, who has exceptional customer service skills to coordinate Functions at the Hervey Bay RSL Club, as well as assist in our busy Restaurant when required.

The successful applicantmusthave had previous functions experience and food and beverage experience.You must be well organised, committed, be motivate, be a team leaderand be well presented.

Good communication skills are essential and having current hands-on experience in all aspects of food, coffee, beverage and functions in a busy environment.

The successful applicant must have strong computer skills, good understanding of Microsoft office - word, excel and outlook.

Must be knowledgeable, professional, polite and considerate, able and confident to handlepatrons in all situations in a timely and effective manner.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Requirements of role

Must be able to work flexible hours - days, nights and weekends when required

Be aware ofcompliance requirements - RSA and Food Safety

Ensure all services toguests are conducted in a highly professional manner

Organise and assist in function setups

Arrange Floor plans for functions, in liaison with Graphic Artist team

Liaise with in house housekeeping team for function set up changes

Ordering of functions supplies - eg linen, napkins, chair covers etc

Function rosters - in liaison with Restaurant Manager and Floor Managers

Ensure function payments and accounts are completed

Ensure a safe working environment

Be a team worker with a vibrant, friendly personality

Ability to lead by example, oversee staff, train and mentor functions team

Function set up and decorating and being creative

Register operation and ensure functions are charged

Carrying and clearing plates promptly according to restaurant procedures
