Job summary

Talent Forge is seeking a State Specifications Manager NSW to lead product specifications across major commercial projects in our flooring portfolio. You will collaborate with architects, contractors and builders to specify materials, installation methods and performance expectations within your territory.

You will drive new business, manage complete project cycles from delivery to budget, and contribute to strategy with market data and CRM best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven sales or business development experience in building products or related commercial markets.
• Ability to interpret architectural plans, building codes, and identify client needs.
• Track record of achieving sales budgets and driving growth.
• Strong commercial acumen balancing technical and cost-effectiveness.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for negotiation.
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally.
• Autonomous, resilient work ethic.
• Relevant business qualification with technical expertise is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Developing and managing product specifications across various commercial projects within your designated territory.
• Collaborating with architects, contractors, builders, and clients to provide expert consultation on material selection, installation methods, and performance expectations.
• Leading business development activity to achieve the ANZ Budget and actively pursuing new end-users and specifiers.
• Managing complete commercial project cycles, from ensuring timely delivery to budget compliance, and maximizing after-sales opportunities.
• Collecting key market data, including market shares, competitor activity, and growth drivers to enable strategy development.
• Coordinating sales forecasts, adhering to company pricing policies to maximize profitability, and effectively managing inventory.
• Ensuring the CRM system is fully utilized and kept up to date to maximize project management and pipeline visibility.
