Job summary

CBRE is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee operations, maintenance, and capital projects for a portfolio of buildings in Sydney. You will lead a team, manage budgets, and liaise with vendors and clients to ensure safety, efficiency, and service quality.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), and a driver’s license. Facility Management certification is preferred to support compliance and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; degree in facilities management or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in facilities management or corporate environments.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Facility Management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees; oversee training, development, coaching, and recruitment.
• Schedule and manage daily activities; set work schedules and deadlines; cross-train staff.
• Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
• Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
• Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
• Perform facility inspections and QA; suggest improvements and upgrades.
• Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
• Oversee vendor relationships and review price quotes for parts and labor.
• Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety.
• Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values; engage stakeholders to reach agreements.
• Apply disciplinary knowledge to integrate with other teams to achieve objectives.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues.
