Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Sydney seeks an experienced Facilities Manager to lead maintenance of M&E systems, keep records for preventive and breakdown maintenance, and conduct life cycle analyses for site infrastructure.

You will supervise vendor relations, support project scheduling, ensure safety compliance, manage opex and capex budgets, and respond to emergencies with a strong electrical engineering background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of ten years related industry experience.
• A valid driver's license with a good driving record for applicable vehicles, without restrictions, or limiting conditions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to prepare opex and Capex budgets. Conducts basic financial analysis.
• Ability to comprehend, analyse, and interpret documents. Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
• Thorough knowledge of Windows-based computers and desktop applications (MS Word/Excel).
• Familiar with design and specification of new equipment, including electrical distribution systems, motors, VFDs, controls, lighting, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance of equipment’s as per OEM/recommended schedules.
• Maintains records for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Conducts life cycle analysis for all the M&E setup at the site.
• Attends to issues related to air conditioning and temperature controls in office premises.
• Assists with project scheduling and helps to monitor project budget and timeline.
• Recommends safety improvements and adheres to applicable codes, regulations, and directives.
• Monitors fire alarm and general facility electrical systems.
• Responds quickly to emergency situations and summons additional assistance as needed.
• Back up to the FM when on leave; supervise FM operations, liaise with vendors, and provide timely updates.
