About the team

You’ll join the Conferences and Events team at RACS, working closely with the Conferences and Events Manager and colleagues across the College to deliver a varied program of events. The team works with surgeons, trainees, specialty societies, sponsors, exhibitors and external suppliers to deliver conferences and events that support the College’s work and its members. You’ll have the opportunity to build strong relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders, while contributing your event management experience and ideas to improve the way events are planned and delivered.

About you

You’re an experienced event professional who can manage the detail of complex events while keeping sight of the bigger picture. You’re comfortable working independently, making decisions, solving problems and adapting when priorities or timelines change.

You’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience planning, coordinating and delivering conferences and events of varying sizes, including on-site management.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, tight deadlines and event budgets.
  • Experience using event management software such as EventsAIR, along with website content management and online event platforms.
