Job summary
Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead investigations of evolving power system security and to develop practical solutions for the National Electricity Market. You will guide technical studies, drive simulations, and influence industry thinking while shaping the design and operation of Australia’s future energy system.
You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, mentor engineers, and contribute to strategic projects across the Future
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering with a power systems focus.
- Experience working with the National Electricity Market (NEM) preferred.
- Experience in power system analysis, modelling, planning or operations within the electricity industry.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on studies and investigations into power system security and stability challenges.
- Perform and review advanced power system modelling and simulation studies.
- Develop engineering solutions to support renewable energy integration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and influence industry outcomes.
- Mentor and support developing engineers to build technical capability.
