AEMO, Australia's independent energy system and market operator, is seeking a Senior Engineer in the Future Energy Systems team to shape the country's power system design and operation. Based in an Australian capital city, you will lead technical studies and drive solutions for secure, reliable energy as the National Electricity Market increases renewable integration.

Formación

• This role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems or related discipline.
• Experience with the National Electricity Market (NEM) is preferred.
• Experience in power system analysis, modelling, planning, or operations within the electricity industry.
• Proficiency with PSSE and PSCAD for modelling and studies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills to translate complex ideas.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate on technical studies and investigations into emerging power system security and stability challenges.
• Perform and review advanced power system modelling and simulation studies.
• Develop innovative engineering solutions that support the reliable integration of renewable energy technologies.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing technical expertise and influencing industry outcomes.
• Lead liaison with specialist consultants and contribute to strategic technical projects.
• Mentor and support developing engineers, building technical capability across the team.
• Contribute to the evolution of power system design principles for the future energy system
